A lot of people think that robotics and artificial
intelligence is only used in production plants. But last year you could
experience robotics in your own habitat. We see a smart thermostat for heating
system so you can change the temperature in your living room via the
internet when you arrive that the system
recognizes your presence. Another example is the coffee machine, which has a
digital screen and gives signals to refill water and coffee beans or to empty
the coffee grounds and rinse water. Also the sound installation and the
television are becoming smart. All these systems have internet connectivity and
you can control these systems with internet apps. With different software
applications you can bring in business rules you like.
I believe this is only the beginning of robotics at home.
These are the first examples, but soon there will be much more robotics and
artificial intelligence in our habitats.
