How can we take our social responsibility justified?
Too much asylum seekers comes to Europe. In Italy is the problem is really a huge problem. Also in the Netherlands we have too much asylum seekers to absorb in our society. Therefore there are a lot of discussions where all these people can live.
This week is decided that 350 asylum seekers will be placed in our habitat by our town council. In the first day’s everybody was informed by a letter. A lot of neighbors have a real problem with this new challenge. I have not yet determined my opinion. It is really a world-wide problem and we have to take our responsibility. On the other hand it’s in a habitat and our children cannot be the victim of these problems.
At least we have to do good risk management and organize enough transparency in the way the people will live and the consequences for the residents. I hope we have the coming weeks a good dialogue and careful decision making.
